June 11th, 2013 is the day I release In the Light of the Moon (Dark War Chronicles #1). DWC has been a baby of mine for so long that I’m terrified to release it into the world. The overall series began in November of 2007, I believe, gosh it’s been a while. I wrote the first draft of The Edge of Darkness and then The Taste of Blood, but there was so much more to the series that I knew those two books weren’t the start of it. I went back to planning and I plotted everything out for the series. Now the plot has shifted a little bit here and there, but I managed to discover the start of the series.
This is where Kassity and Jaxon come in. Kassity as a character does have her roots in the RP world, but after I created her there and she shuffled around from group to group, I realized where she truly belonged was in DWC. A fiery panther-lycan who owned her life to a vampire and who had no control over her panther side, she is an amazing character that I fell in love with. Enter Jaxon, a charming and handsome panther and he has his eye on Kassity. I won’t give any spoilers away, but I love the chemistry between these two characters.
Then there’s Lucius. Lucius is the vampire of the territory. He’s an ass, there’s no other way to say it. He’s first introduced in the short story The Touch of Night (DWC #0.5 a prequel to the series) and he’s meant to be that character readers love to hate. Since he controls everything in his territory with a tight reign he gets a say on if people get to mate. Lucius’ tag line is, “I don’t believe in happily ever after, I believe in compromise.”
There is a huge cast of characters you’ll see through out the series and each of them have their own past and background. Just remember, in Lucius’ territory, not everything is what it seems.
Dark War Chronicles: In a world where only the government knows supernatural creatures exist a war rages. It’s every creature for themself and loyalties are divided. In a world of chaos things are about to change. Choose your side.
In the Light of the Moon (DWC #1): Release date: June 11th: Stripped of all control, panther shifter Kassity has no choice but to be a killer for Lucius. Obeying the vampire was simply her way of life, until Jax comes to town and brings trouble with him. When she recognizes Jax as her fated mate, Kassity must deal with betrayal, secrets and Lucius in order to be with him.
With a war raging between all supernatural creatures Jaxon must decide who he is fighting for-and against. What started as simple job turns into a complicated game of hearts when he meets Kassity, the woman he thought he was rescuing. But not everything is as it seems in Lucius' territory.
The Touch of Night (DWC #0.5): As a government hired investigator, Mae is no stranger to the supernatural world. When a man named Josh appears in both her dreams and in her current case, things get complicated.
